Debate Coaching

Debating instills critical thinking skills, intuitive and deductive reasoning, self-awareness, the ability to identify propaganda, teaches quick decision-making, and trains students in team coordination and empathy.

Each coaching session is at least two or at most three hours long. There is at least one session per week and four sessions per month. Extensive at-home work is also assigned, generally consisting of research and reading, with the information instantly utilized during the next coaching. Requirements:

The student must be able to read and understand an English language newspaper.

It is not mandatory to participate in international tournaments, but the option is open to all Academy members. Costs of attendance (travel, registration, etc.) are not included in the academy fee for a respective term.
